81 saw the light of the Stadium Inn tonight. Some folks from the Nashville Scene were there taking pictures (including the last 4 matches) and also interviewed Tony & LT Falk. Also notable that the SAW TV show that aired 3/13 had two commercials for USWO/ATL. OUR officials for the evening are JW Boogie Stratton, Jamey Farrari, and newcomer Tim Humphries.
Saint & Psycho Medic beat Tiny Bear & Kevin Jones in 6:00. KJ takes a power nap while the crutch-wielding PM works the room. PM backs TB to the corner but receives an eyepoke of doom. PM gets a second one from KJ upon tagging in. They bump off one another twice before KJ gives PM a big boot and commences choking him. S tags in but misses a splash and TB grinds his face. S comes up swinging until TB lowblows him and chokes. Ref Boogie tries to keep PM from illegal participation, causing a mullet lady to run up to the ring and call Boogie a “dumb m-f’er”, lol. S kicks free from the choking and gives TB a flying forearm, which leads to TAGS!! TB/KJ get whipped together then S follows KJ to the floor. PM gives TB the lethal injection for the pin.
Seven beat Crusher Eric Hodge in 4:00. Only 1:40 of 7’s entrance played. CEH’s preemptive strike goes all for naught as 7 splashes and stomps him on the mat. CEH tries punching but 7 headbutts him. CEH then goes for the legs but 7 catches him and slams. 7 goes for a Sevenbomb but CEH rolls away and kicks the legs until he runs into a bicycle kick. & slams CEH face down on the mat and rolls him over for the pin.
LT Falk & Cody Weatherby beat Dyron Flynn & Bad Boy Dixon in 9:00. CW opens up on DF to start then tags in LT who does some armworking. LT/CW double hiptoss BBD then CW splashes and bulldogs him for 2. BBD kicks CW in the knee as some cops stop by to watch the show. DF attacks CW’s leg then BBD drags him over and wraps the leg around the ringpost. BBD legsweeps CW for 2 then DF grapevines the leg. BB in to grab an ankle lock but CW flips him in to the corner and we get TAGS!! LT fireman carries BBD and CW comes off the top with a neckbreaker. CW/BBD roll out as LT flatlines DF for the pin.
USWO Jr. Champion Shawn Hoodrich beat Kevin Dunn in 7:00. Armworking traded until KD spinning heel kicks and suplexes SH for 2. KD does the splits to avoid a lariat then dropkicks SH to the ropes. KD tornado DDTs SH for 2 but gets lowblowed. SH unwinds tape from his wrist and chokes KD then hits a flying forearm followed by a jumping fistdrop for 2. SH tries a cloverleaf but KD pushes up and reverses it until SH grabs a rope. KD slams and moonsaults for 2 but SH eyerakes and hits a top elbow drop for 2. SH climbs back up but KD pushes ref TH into the ropes and SH falls. KD yanks SH off the corner as a guy wearing shorts with “Hoodrich” on them comes out to confront KD. SH sneaks up and schoolboys KD for the pin.
Tony says next week will be the USWO’s 9th anniversary show! The next Advanced Financial-sponsored show will be 4/16.
ATL Champion Chrisjen Hayme beat Jeremy Flynt in 10:00. No, CH’s name is still not on the “ATL Champion” sign outside. There are enough letters to put up “C HAYME” though. JF’s last visit to USWO was on 10/29/04-a loss to Saint in Madison, but this is likely his Stadium Inn debut. JF comes out to KC & The Sunshine Band because that’s the way he likes it uh-huh uh-huh. JF dances with females fans as everyone claps along with the music. JF tells us he is here to adjust CH’s attitude. Lockups end with CH drop to holding and slapping JF’s head. JF catches the leapfrogging CH, takes him down and does a one-man make a wish with him. They then end up in a sitting position with feet together and pulling each other back and forth. JF comes off with a double axe handle to the back and CH rolls out. JF fetches him but gets crotched on the middle rope coming back in. CH kicks to the head and tries a sleeper while slipping in a bite to the head. JF elbows free then catches a CH running boot and sideslams him for 2. JF goes for a pedigree but CH slips out and they trade rollups. JF connects on a second pedigree for 2. CH chinbreakers then enziguris JF and DDTs him for the pin.
CH spits on JF and departs.
Rudy Switchblade & LT Falk beat Damien Payne & Jason Xavier in 9:00. Gordon notes that RS’ partner Johnny Punch was injured last week thus absent tonight. RS comes out alone, saying there is no “mystery partner” since he’s not like DP who will just pick anyone off the street. RS calls DP a coward and turns his back just to prove it. DP sneaks up but RS spins around and decks him then dumps both DP/JX out. They argue until RS reaches over and bangs their heads together. RS sharpshooters JX then grabs DP and clubs him in the back. DP bails and RS chases him around the ring and back in. DP trips up RS coming back in then stomps and chokes him before grabbing a sleeper. DP gets caught with his feet on the ropes but pulls RS to center ring as a group of fans do the wave! JX in to work the leg then DP returns but misses a splash. RS crawls to a partnerless corner but JX over to legdrop him for 2. DP hits a double kneelift for 2 but he and JX collide when RS stop and drops and all 3 are down. LT runs out in shirt and jeans, calling for RS to tag him! So we get TAGS!! LT lariats JX out then hits a flatliner on DP for the pin.
Guess what happens next? If you guessed “LT Talk” you were correct. LT is disgusted with “dumbass” JX turning his back on the fans, saying running with DP, Dixon, and Josh Crow will cause him to go nowhere. LT then calls DP a ‘walk-behind” since his career has consisted of following LT around and causing problems. LT praises RS as one hell of an athlete. LT tells us that Cody Weatherby has decided to pursue the USWO Jr. Championship thus ending their tag team for now (and saving me from trying to think up a name) thus opening up LT’s schedule. LT offers to fill in for Punch so RS doesn’t have to forfeit the tag titles. RS accepts the offer without subjecting us to his own soliloquy.
USWO Champion Jeff Daniels (w/Dominique) beat Nore Havoc in 11:00. Lockups end with JD making it look like NH hit him, lol. NH is very angry and throws JD around and out. NH reaches over to grab JD but gets popped upside the head. JD/D take turns choking NH while the other distracts ref JF. JD drops an elbow for 2 as D exchanges pleasantries with the crowd then calls over ref JF as NH sunset flips JD. JD latches on to NH with a sleeper hold but NH eventually fights him off and comes off the ropes with a flying forearm. NH with a flurry of rights as D removes her boot. NH drops JD and goes to the ropes to grab D but ref JF breaks this up, grabs the boot, and attempts to eject D from ringside. JD pulls a chain but swings and misses which allows NH to hit the chopping block. Ref JF is busy with D at the entrance so JD has time to get up and hit NH with the chain for a cover. JF gets to the ring but NH gets a shoulder up at 2. JD gives NH an eyepoke of doom and the blinded NH gives ref JF a chopping block! NH regains sight and chopping blocks JD for a cover but JF is down. Ref TH runs out as JD schoolboys NH and holds him down to get the pin.
Chicken Hat is unhappy with this and makes his feelings known on the mic!
