MDickie vaguely announced that he was working on a new project a few days before releasing his latest game “Under Development”. Today, he made the picture slightly clearer as he released two new in-game photos(Pics after the jump). The bigger picture, However, is still a bit fuzzy. Immediately after posting the open-ended announcement curiosity sparked as what type of game it would be, if it was a new game at all. Could it be a patch?!
Speculation of the genre of the new project has gained steam today and took a popular turn for the MPireMall Masses as it appears, at least for right now that MDickie is making a new wrestling game or possibly a patch for his older wrestling titles.
It’s far too early to hold the pictures as rock solid evidence that the project will be of the wrestling variety as from recent experience MDickie has been anything but predictable. I think his sudden comeback and emergence as a semi-active Maller proved that. We must remind ourselves MDickie did hint that a MMA game wouldn’t be out of the question and while you rarely see a fighter dropping the dirty bird in a octagon, this is a MDickie project where anything is possible.

As for what this means for the TWC5/WM12 project, if he is indeed making a new wrestling game. Nothing, the show will go on. How exactly? Who know but one way or another TWC5 will be released. One thing I should note though is, I was one of big supporter of naming the site-wide mall project as Wrestling MPire 2012: Featuring TWC5 but this was before this latest revelation, I’m all for dropping the the once possible title if MDickie decides to use it.
He also hinted that he would be “patching” his updated hand textures, and the “beard” options into his older games…so perhaps that’s what this is? I see he has also added the “moving eyes” from the You Testament…looking at the second pic.

Nice! i’m pretty sure the work seen in twc5 gave him the itch to put out possibly another classic.
It looks no different, Mall WM2012 will be better anyways (UDK anyone?)
